It's from her 1985 album The Hounds of Love and is one of a number of really strong tracks on there (mainly those released as singles). A bit of a comeback for her at the time following the mild disaster that was The Dreaming.

I think my original comment, which seems to have been nuked in a wifi failure, was something like....
I find her compelling in the literary, commercial-free-ness of her stuff; but simultaneously nervous, as I always feel there's something else going on in her stuff that I don't quite get, and wouldn't be keen on if I did...
That probably doesn't make sense.
But it's a clever old song, thanks for posting it. The atmosphere and sheer tangential nature of content grabs one.
I understand exactly where you're coming from in your hesitancy over some of her stuff. I think she displays an interest in a darker type of spirituality (e.g. side 2 of The Hounds Of Love), as well as a very earthy sexuality (examples abound).
In terms of this song, it reminds me of the storyline of The Railway Children - something very far removed from the interests just mentioned!
