When it was first released (back in '97) some people said Flaming Pie was a return to form, of sorts, for Paul McCartney. I borrowed the tape from the library and thought it was okay but too sketchy.
But then he's always been sketchy - which isn't a criticism, just an observation.
Anyway, the fine folk at Spotify have afforded me the opportunity to reflect more leisurely on my opinion and I feel I ought to revise it. It was, indeed, a return to form.
Give it a spin. You won't regret it.
