todoist & doings

not wanting to get too esoteric, but....for a while now i've been using todoist as my task manager. it's a great (& free) online service. what it's lacked, for me, has been an adequate iphone app. minttodo offered promise but doesn't really cut it. but any day now, doings should be in the app store - and it looks like it will finally bring all the benefits of todoist to the iphone.

i can't wait.

Also, how does this work better than the little tasks list on gmail?

I know you will have mobile access, but that isn't an issue for me.

Aww, you're just too kind. I don't know what I've done to deserve such manifest kindness.....

Well, you can get Google tasks via mobile access, too. The real benefits to me are: ability to sort taks into projects; the ability to add subtasks and notes (both of which can be toggled as visible or not); it can be interrogated by date (tell me what's due today, overdue etc) or I can assign categories (e.g. next) and interrogate that way.

Just far more flexible yet, unlike other flexible task managers, so clean and simple.

You ought to give it a spin - it's easy to set up and (did I ever mention this?) it's FREE!

but googletasks appears to be working OK without me having to learn to use another program....

In which case, you're in a good place...
